Ryan S. Fritz
President

Ryan S. Fritz, born in Indiana, PA, 1973; Indiana University of Pennsylvania (B.A. 1996); University of Pittsburgh (J.D. 1999). Mr. Fritz has been the President of Delaney & Fritz, PC since 2014 and the President of ATLAS Real Estate Closing Company (Attorneys Land, Abstract and Settlement, LLC, a Title Agency) since 2019. His practice spans many areas of law, and he represents individuals and businesses across Pennsylvania. Through Delaney & Fritz and ATLAS, Mr. Fritz handles all varieties of real estate matters. He assists clients with estate planning, drafting wills and trusts, probating estates and Orphan's Court litigation. He heads all matters touching on Pennsylvania natural resources law, predominantly through title examination and the preparation of title opinions. He has served as an oil and gas consultant and contractor for numerous Oil and Gas E&P companies, and has taught undergraduate classes in Energy Management, Oil and Gas Leasing and Property Law. Mr. Fritz also assists oil and gas production companies and other entities with transactions, the preparation of contracts and leases, unitization, and oil and gas litigation concerning operating agreements, title, and surface use issues. Mr. Fritz's practice also includes the areas of Corporate Formation, all areas of litigation, including Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, and Family Law. After nine years of general practice, he joined Michael S. Delaney in October 2008, where they formed the firm Delaney & Fritz. He is admitted to practice in all Courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Michael S. Delaney

Michael S. Delaney, Deceased, born in Indiana, PA, 1949; Millersville University (B.A. 1972); Ohio Northern University (J.D. 1977). Mr. Delaney served as Assistant District Attorney for Indiana County from 1977-1980. He served as Solicitor of White Township, starting in 1991, and of Marion Center Area School District, starting in 1987. He served as President of Indiana County Bar Association from 2007 through 2009. Mr. Delaney's 40 year practice primarily consisted of representing clients in the business of coal, oil, and gas development including, but not limited to, title abstracts and certification; leasing issues; operation issues; and acquisitions.

Janice Fritz 
Of Counsel, and Director Of Human Resources And Legal Administration

Janice is an HR professional with over 15 years of leadership experience in various industries, including manufacturing, sales, service industries, and non-profit organizations. Janice has counselled businesses regarding compliance with the full range of labor, and benefits-related issues. She has worked as an HR leader in progressively larger companies, before making the leap to Delaney & Fritz to help build and perfect the HR and administrative functions. Janice’s areas of expertise include corporate compliance and risk management, benefits, compensation, HR policy and procedure development, HRIS, managing culture, organizational design, recruiting, and employee relations.

William Smith 
Lead Title Analyst

Bill first joined the firm as a title abstractor responsible for searching records to determine ownership of real estate interests. Over time he undertook additional responsibilities and is now responsible for reviewing chains of title prepared by abstractors to ensure accuracy and to ensure that problems in the chain of title are addressed and brought to the attention of the attorney preparing the Certificate of Title. Also, Bill answers Abstractors’ questions and provides guidance to ensure timely completion of title searches. Additionally, he manages and oversees projects to ensure timely completion.
